WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A BARTENDER:
I started as a glassy in a nightclub in Cairns, far north Queensland as a way to get myself through university. I progressed into the bar and I fell in love with it and haven’t looked back since.

We use agave spirits in all of our cocktails - mainly Tequila - so I am very excited to be pairing up with an amazing brand of Tequila to showcase what we can do with this liquid. The inspiration comes from a Sydney institution - Cho Cho San and their famous Matcha soft serve. It literally blew me away when I tried it for the first time, and I really wanted to create a serve that honours this delightful little treat.

Cantina OK! is a micro mezcal Mecca situated in the centre of Sydney CBD. Known for our margaritas and the rare collection of agave spirits that we procure ourselves from Mexico. Cantina OK! has been in Worlds 50 Best Bars for the last three years placing as high as #23. I have been working at Cantina OK! for over two years, with the last year and a half of my time being the Creative Lead.
The cocktail menu is kept fresh and exciting with weekly specials available on top of a seasonal selection. All Cantina OK! drinks feature a Mexican spirit base.
A 68 page guidebook is on hand to help patrons navigate the extensive drinks selection, and you can be sure you’ll learn something new about Mexican liquor with every visit.
Cantina OK! is located at the end of Council Place, Sydney, and is open all week, 4pm – 12 am
